A4: The UBC reduction that is achievable by Actigain is around 60 to 80%
However, if there is some Biomass which escapes the combustion chambers due to bad turbulence, air ascent in the combustion chambers, spaces between grates, Biomass falling in ash or any other design fault, then the UBC reduction is not so efficient
Actigain reduces UBC for Biomass which is present in the combustion chambers and not designed to eliminate design or operational faults or inefficiencies

Q : What is the direct way of knowing the savings?
A : The test needs to be performed on similar quality & GCV Biomass for blank and with Actigain trials
The savings can be known directly by feeding known quantities of Biomass and checking steam generated i.e. steam fuel ratio
Savings can also be calculated by ash reconciliation method, by weighing the ESP ash with and without Actigain
The ESP ash quantity reduces with Actigain due to firing of lesser Biomass
All data of biomass vs. ash generated can be validated with Actigain

For best results the trials need to be conducted for at least 7 to 10 days with Actigain with same GCV Biomass
Actigain results proportionately increase or decrease of Biomass GCV
If tested with Biomass GCV of 4000 then Actigain results will be equivalent of 4300 or 4400 Biomass
If tested with Biomass GCV of 5000 then it will be 5375 to 5500
